About Andy Gitipityapon

Andy Gitipityapon is a wealth manager who celebrates his 25th year licensed in the securities business this year. He began his career in banking in 1997 and joined the securities business at Great Western Bank (GWB) in 1999. GWB was acquired by Washington Mutual and later by Chase Bank, where Andy held the position of Senior Vice President at all three firms.

In 2009, Andy joined Citigroup Global Markets as a Senior Financial Advisor, where he was team lead and managed his own book. A decade later, Andy moved to Western International Securities (WIS), based in Westlake Village, California, where he is currently a wealth manager. WISa became Atria Wealth Solutions and was then purchased by LPL Financial in September 2024.

Andy’s expertise is in retirement planning, insurance, managed accounts, wealth transfers, DSTs, and tax-free wealth solutions for high-income earners.

Academic and Career Achievements

Andy Gitipityapon graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science in 1999. While he worked at Citibank, he attended Wharton’s School of Business and participated in an advanced sales program.

During Andy’s decade-long career with Washington Mutual/Chase, he was recognized with numerous Leader Circle and President’s Club awards.

His Life Outside of Work

Andy and his wife, Christina, live in the San Fernando Valley of California and enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures and traditions. As a foodie, Andy loves various culinary delights, and, unsurprisingly, he likes to cook. Cooking gives him an opportunity to recreate the tastes he experienced while traveling at home.

Andy also loves vintage cars – the feeling, sense of style, craftsmanship, and timelessness they offer. He sees a vintage car as more than just an automobile. It’s a piece of history that Andy enjoys learning about.
